Workshops and Lectures

            Workshops and Lectures

I deliver a variety of Workshops and Lectures

covering hand and machine embroidery.

I draw on my professional embroidery training, art degree and my years of teaching embroidery.

I can tailor all my workshops and talks to a specific area as I can draw on years of experience.

So for example my "how to design for embroidery" talk if you or your group need more help with colour, composition or texture I can expand those areas showing practical examples and processes.

Please scroll down for a brief summary of what I can offer and then click on the more information box found with each workshop to find out more or go straight to my dedicated pages that are categorized into lectures, hand embroidery or machine/fabric manipulation.

All my workshops include step by step instructions for future use.

If an embroidery technique is being worked I include a brief history talk on the technique

 in all my workshops.

I can bring an assistant if groups are large in number.

I am now also offering a lecture after several requests called

"My textile journey"

In this talk I speak about my textile life and bring years of samples from my Royal School of Needlework days to the present.

This talk can also be tailored for schools who perhaps would like to inspire people who perhaps considering a future in textiles or art.

Remember these workshops are a starting point.
